Solvency II reporting in XBRL is now a reality for insurance undertakings and pension funds.
XBRL Denmark has the unique opportunity to host a mini-conference on Solvency II where we will have a visit from the European insurance regulator EIOPA. Patrick Hoedjes who is Head of oversight and operations and part of EIOPA’s senior management will be guest speaker. Furthermore the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority will tell about implementation in Denmark.

About the program, etc.
Jens Henrik Myllerup Laursen is Deputy Head of the office, which supervises life insurance companies in the FSA. The office has had the main responsibility for the implementation of Solvency II in Danish law. Jens Henrik will talk about the implementation of Solvency II with a focus on valuation of insurance liabilities. In addition, Jens Henrik will talk about the challenges that Solvency II involves regarding the focus on the external risks to the company.
Patrick Hoedjes is Head of Supervision & Operations in the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). He is responsible for the areas of supervision, the Financial Stability and collection of information and to establish and supervise internal procedures and operational processes within EIOPA. He is also the chairman of EIOPA IT & Data Committee.
Poul Kjær is Chairman of XBRL Denmark and has previously worked in both the Danish FSA and the Bankers’ Association in senior positions.
Michael Krog is founding partner of the Danish company ParsePort. Michael has been working with developing XBRL solutions for several years, delivering annual reports in XBRL (GAAP/IFRS), financial reports in XBRL (CRD IV) and latest Solvency II reporting in XBRL. Under Michaels management ParsePort has launched a series of XBRL products across Europe. And today ParsePort is serving several European companies through local offices.
